TEENS FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES PROGRAM

TEEN COMPANY –  MUSIC THEATRE PROGRAM for AGES 13-17
Disney’s Aladdin  is based on the 1992 Academy-Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within.

9-week intensive program ends in three weekends of fully-produced, ticketed, public performances of ALADDIN.  This Aladdin will produced, designed, and performed by Teens just for kids and family audiences. In addition to enhancing their performance skills and performing the show for audiences, Teen participants will be mentored by professional designers and educators as they bring their own ideas to life on the stage and in the lobby.  We can only take 20 Teens. Last year’s JUNGLE BOOK was a huge success, and we expect this year’s program will fill fast.  This is first-come, first-served.

Meets three times each week, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Tech Week and 10 performances required.  Students will work with a professional director and music director in a highly supportive “ensemble”-focused environment. The final performance is a 1-hour production with costumes, props, scenic elements, and live orchestra in our theatre. The pre-show experience will include immersive, educational activities that are also created by the Teens.
