PROGRAM OVERVIEW: Students will learn beginning & intermediate-level skills in acting, vocal production and movement. Actors prepare a fully-produced, ensemble-driven adaptation of Wizard of Oz with costumes, props, lighting, and scenic elements. Rehearsals & performances right at your school!  This program is non-auditioned; try-ons occur the first week of class. Everyone, regardless of ability or experience, is welcome!


MEETS: Meets regularly on FRIDAYS, 3:00pm-5:00pm. There will be no rehearsal over Spring Break.

OPEN TO: Grades 3-8

These are required days where we will add costumes, props, scenery, and other elements, plus build confidence in preparation for the final performances – please plan to attend these important dates:
****Friday, May 25, Extended pre-tech rehearsal, to 5:30pm
****Tuesday May 28, 3:00pm-6:00pm (bring your own snack today)
****Wednesday, May 29, 3:00pm-6:00pm (bring your own snack today)
****Friday, May 31 3:00pm- 6:00pm. Followed by Dinner Break & Show (bring your own snack today)

Public show – invite everyone you know: Friday, May 31 @ 6:30pm

TUITION: Tuition is $117.00. 50% ($58.50) is due at enrollment, and the balance ($58.50) will be billed to the same card automatically 10 days before the class begins. ***FINANCIAL AID IS AVAILABLE – PLEASE CONTACT US FOR SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION. WE DO TRY TO HELP EVERYONE WHO REQUEST AID.***

POLICIES: Families are required to read and acknowledge policies, including attendance, financial, behavior and others, when enrolling. By enrolling in this class, you agree to abide by all of our policies, including attendance, behavior, preparation, and casting. All TCA policies and expectation for behavior are always in effect, in addition to WCP policies.

ABOUT THE WIZARD OF OZ:  The Wizard of Oz follows the story of Dorothy, a young girl who finds herself somewhere over the rainbow in the magic land of Oz. Though at first magical and enchanting, Dorothy soon realizes that she wants nothing more than to get back to Kansas. Along the way she learns that not all witches are wicked (though some definitely are) and Things are not always what they seem. Dorothy ultimately learns that growing up takes brains, courage, and a lot of heart.
