JOIN US FOR A SUMMER OF MUSIC THEATRE FUN!

Windy City Performs Conservatory Summer Camps are among the best in Chicagoland.  Our camps teach all the basics in music theatre performance while preparing students for a final performance - lightly- or fully-produced, based on age group.  We integrate games, social events, team-building activities and outdoor time at Jefferson Park to make sure our students have a well-rounded summer camp experience.  Camps are non-auditioned, and no experience is necessary.  We offer 3- and 5-installment payment plans, and generous financial aid for families who need assistance.

What are you waiting for? Find out why we were voted Best Theatre by the readers of Chicago Magazine in 2016!

5-pay offer for Aladdin, Guys & Dolls has expired; if you need special payment arrangements, please contact our office:  education@windycityperforms.org

ABOUT 'GUYS & DOLLS (Jr)'

Guys and Dolls JR. is an adaptation of the show considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy. Its namesake ran for 1,200 performances when it opened on Broadway in 1950 and won numerous Tony Awards, including Best Musical. ABOUT 'NEWSIES' - BEGINS JUNE 24 (due to CPS calendar change)

It's time to carry the banner on your stage with Disney's NEWSIES! Set in turn-of-the century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!

Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors, Sister Act) and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots). Featuring the now classic songs “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” Newsies is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.

NEWSIES has been opened to Teens and Youth.  This exciting summer evening program is fully produced, with public ticketed performances in early August.  Meets Mondays & Wednesdays, beginning June 24 - plus 2 Sundays, June 23 & July 14, 4pm-8pm.

TUITION:  $459, if paying in full.  Or pay 3 monthly installments of $159.67. Financial aid and sibling discounts are available!

This program does not conflict with summer camps.  Supervision will be provided between the end of Youth/Teen day camps and evening rehearsals, on days the programs overlap.  Also, while we reorganize our 2019-20 programming and look for additional performance space, we have decided to postpone 'Billy Elliot the Musical' Mainstage. We encourage students who were interested in that program to join us for Newsies!

CAMP INFORMATION:

***Note: This is an evening Youth program - not a summer day camp***

Program Begins: Monday, June 24 (this is a change due to the CPS calendar)

Ends:  Sunday, August 11 after final performance.

Weekly Schedule: Mondays, 5:45pm-8:30pm & Wednesdays, 5:45pm-8:30pm

Tech Week: August 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 & 9

Final Performances:  Ticketed, public shows, including full production elements - costumes, props, lighting, etc.  Show will be on Saturday, Aug 10 and Sunday, August 11 - times to be announced shortly.

Other:  Participating in Newsies will not conflict with other summer camps; after-care will be provided on rehearsal days for students doing both a summer camp or Billy Elliot and this program.

Tuition:  $479, or $459 if paying in full.

Two options for payment:

(1) Pay the full amount today, $459; or...

(2) Choose the 3-pay option.  Pay a deposit of $159.66 today; Two additional payments will be charged to the card on-file on June 15 & July 15. Total will be $479.
