After-School Music Theatre Performance Program – Spring 2017
Disney’s THE LION KING

OVERVIEW:
  This after-school performance program is for 2nd-8th grade students only. Students learn intermediate- and advanced-level skills in acting, vocal production and movement. They prepare a fully-produced, adapted version of Disney’s The Lion King with professionally designed costumes, sets, props, lighting, and live musical accompaniment.  Rehearsals and performances right at your school!  Click here to enroll at our Parent Portal now. 

PROGRAM BEGINS:

***Thursday, February 2, 2017

MEETING DAY / TIME / LOCATION:

***Thursdays, 3:00-5:00pm at Belding Auditorium

***No rehearsal on non-school days.

***No rehearsal during Spring Break week

EXTRA TECH/DRESS REHEARSALS All of these rehearsals are required:

  • Wednesday, April 26, 3pm-6pm (bring your own hearty snack today)
  • Thursday, April 27, 3pm-6pm (bring your own hearty snack today)
  • Friday, April 28, 3pm-5pm
  • Monday, May 1, stay after school to rehearse, followed by performance at 6:30pm (we will coordinate a volunteer pitch in dinner for our youngsters tonight)

TICKETED SHOWS:  MAY 1, 2017.  Performance for the public and friends/family in the auditorium, featuring costumes, props, lighting and live musical accompaniment.  We do expect this program to be large, and there is a chance we will need to double-cast the show, which means there would be two performances on this evening.  Please keep the whole evening free, from after school through 8:30pm. 

TUITION:

***$170.  Pay your deposit of $65 to hold your reservation.  We will bill the balance to the card on-file 10 days before class begins.  If you are enrolling less than 10 days before class begins, you will need to pay the entire amount when you enroll.  Click here to enroll at our Parent Portal now. 

***We encourage students to enroll early, as we want to contract the strongest possible staff and reserve adequate space, based on enrollment numbers. Students who are not enrolled in advance will not be allowed to attend the first day of class.

***Families are required to read and acknowledge policies, including attendance, financial, behavior and others, when enrolling. By enrolling in this class, you agree to abide by all of our policies.  All school policies and expectation for behavior are always in effect, in addition to WCMT policies.
